London Restorers: Harris & Hasler Partners

London Restorers is a partnership of Colm JR Harris and John Mackenzie-Hasler. Although both Colm and John started with finishing (French Polishing), they specialised in different areas: Colm in Antique Restoration and John in Cabinet Making and Upholstery. Their combined experience brings to the table complementing skills and expertise to our customers.

Colm J. R. Harris has 30 years experience, after qualifying straight from school, taking a City & Guilds in Antique Furniture Restoration at London School of Furniture winning the prize of best apprentice, presented by the Alderman of Westminster.

John Mackenzie-Hasler

John Mackenzie-Hasler is a graduate with a BA (Hons) in Furniture Design & Craftmanship from the prestigious Buckinghamshire University. Additionally John holds City & Guilds in Cabinet Making, Furniture Production, Traditional & Modern Finishing from London University (aka London School of Furniture). John has worked for 8 years in an upholstery shop restoring chairs from Chippendale to Eames. John has been a runner up in a national competition for the Fashion Museum and won silver prize in a national competition Forest Garden.
